Some Links related to John Newton:

The Letters of John Newton: Part of the "Fire and Ice" Website. Most of these letters are not found in the "Banner" edition, but it does contain 3 that are.
A Letter from George Whitefield to John Wesley: Almost all biographies talk about Newton's friendship with John Wesley, however in his autobiography he never mentioned him. He did say, however, that he drew from George Whitefield's ministry his entire life. Newton was clearly a *Calvinist, though, he wrote concerning his doctrinal beliefs, "I should have much to answer for had I invented it myself, or taken it upon trust from Calvin, but as I find it in the Scripture I cheerfully embrace it." (*Please see more info. above.)
Sermons of George Whitefield: 59 sermons at Christian Classics Ethereal Library.
The Imitation of Christ: The powerful devotional compiled by Thomas A Kempis in the Fourteen-hundreds. Still valuable for anyone seeking to Biblically examine himself. It was while reading this book that Newton's seemingly dead conscience showed a glimmer of life and caused him to think, "What if these things should be true?".
